Who are we?
PowerOn Consulting is a team of professionals providing backup electricity to a wide range of customers throughout the Bay Area — and beyond. We are engineers, electricians, and construction professionals who offer expertise, technical support, and sales and customer service.
Our technical team is made up of industry leaders, many of them active members of IEEE professional committees and / or the California interconnection Committee. Together, we have considerable experience working in electric utilities across the United States, including decades of experience in engineering, R&D, and construction.
At PowerOn, we have access to best-in-class manufacturers, equipment, and devices — and we put them all in service to provide exceptionally reliable backup power for our customers.
Robert C. Frase, P.E. Founder of PowerON Solutions
Bob Frase has been involved in the electric utility industry since his graduation from the University of Illinois where he studied Electrical Engineering. He went on to do graduate work in Power Engineering at the University of Santa Clara, California. His love for California, especially the wine country, led him to stay on and pursue his passion for engineering as an entrepreneur. He founded and acquired several successful companies, including a centennial firm, all based in the greater bay area and serving utilities across California and beyond.
When Public Safety Power Shut-offs (PSPS) became a reality in California, he realized that commercial businesses would benefit from his expertise in developing permanent energy solutions.
As a result, Bob gathered a dynamic team of core consultants, with a combined industry experience of over more than 100 years, to address PSPS-specific problems. Under his leadership, the team provides each customer with a comprehensive assessment, together with and consultations to solve their unique needs of each customer and that of their respective industry segment.
